If the slipper fits

Once you have your dress, you need some stunning accessories to complete the look. Keep it simple and opt for elegant and well-made pieces.

They don't need to be expensive and you could even borrow some heirloom pieces from your family. Earrings, necklaces and bracelets should be the same type of design or metal. This keeps it from looking too busy and taking the attention off of the dress.

Wedding rings

The custom of wedding rings goes back to Roman times; they are for both men and women. You can opt for gold, silver, platinum and even have inscriptions and stones on the rings.

Some important points to remember. For the wedding ceremony, the only ring you should be wearing is your engagement ring. Choose wedding rings together and decide whether you want to customise them with personal engravings. Your wedding and engagement ring should be made of the same metal so that one doesn't wear out the other.

The slipper fits!

You should be able to walk in your shoes for long periods of time. You will probably have the same pair on all day, so comfort needs to be the main factor when choosing.

Your shoes need to be the same colour as your dress or a colour that complements it. The same material would also be ideal.
