Food & Drink

Cheers!

From breweries to healthy delis, South Oxfordshire's food and drink retailers pride themselves on locally sourced, good quality produce.

Food & DrinkDelis and specialists
Vintage cheeses, rustic breads, fruity chutneys and warm pies. Whether you're looking for lunch, gifts or catering, the delis in South Oxfordshire each offer something unique. The Healthy Deli, Henley has only be open for a couple years but already has a loyal following. Umberto's Deli in Thame specialises in Italian food and wine with fresh produce made on site daily. For chocolate lovers Gorvett and Stone is an independent chocolate maker in Henley where you can choose from chocolate boxes, bars, hampers and gift sets.

Butchers and bakers
The Soil Association voted Ranger Organics in Goring the best beef supplier of 2008, and you can see why. They own their own beef cattle farm in the Thames Valley and pride themselves on organic meat being available to buy straight from the producer. Other butchers that are worth visiting are Gabriel Machins, RG Park Butchers, Clays of Thame and M. Newitt and Sons, Thame.

Food & DrinkBreweries and wine merchants
WoodyNook in Woodcote sells award winning boutique wines from its shop and restaurant. It also organises wine events throughout the year. Handcrafted ales and lagers made with top ingredients make Lovibonds and Loddons Brewery, Dunsden Green favourites with pubs, restaurants and caterers. The Chiltern Valley Winery, based just outside Henley has a vineyard which produces a range of fine wines including sparkling. Real ales are also created from the brewery on site and liquors and cordials are sold in their cellar shop.

Supermarkets
In each market town there is at least one major national supermarket, offering easy access to everyday food and drink.
