Bangers and BonfiresVisit one of the professionally organised firework and bonfire events taking place in South Oxfordshire on Saturday 3 November. If you're in the Didcot area, then head over to Brasenose Park for the Rotary Club's firework display. Gates open at 5pm and there will be fairground rides and stalls, hot food and drinks and live music. The bonfire will be lit at 6pm and at 7pm; the spectacular fireworks display will begin. Admission costs £4.00 for adults, £2.50 for senior citizens and children. A family ticket admitting two adults and three children is £20. Over in Henley, the Round Table's firework and funfair event will be taking place at Swiss Farm, Marlow Road. The gates open at 5.30pm, with a live band, pig roast, real ale and mulled wine on hand to keep you warm and entertained before the bonfire is lit at 6.15pm and the firework display begins at 7pm. Admission costs £5 for adults and £3 for senior citizens and children aged 5-16. In Thame, a firework display is being held at Lord Williams Lower School on Towersey Road. Starting at 6.30pm there will be hot dogs, soup, hot chocolate and mulled wine. Chocolate, sweets and squash will also be available. Wallingford's annual bonfire and firework display will be taking place at the Kinecroft from 6pm. Organised by the Round Table, the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm, with a twenty-five minute barrage of the latest and best fireworks from 6.40pm. Food and non-alcoholic drinks will be available throughout the evening. Admission is free, but the Wallingford and District Round Table would gratefully receive donations for their nominated charities.
