Didcot's Christmas ice rinkGet your skates on and head to Didcot for a spot of Christmas shopping and skating from 10-16 December. A temporary ice rink made from synthetic material will be located outside the town's Orchard Centre shopping area for a week in December. Open from 12noon-8pm on Monday-Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday, it will give you the chance to show off your skating skills to friends and family. Seasonal music and a snow machine will add to the festive atmosphere. Each session costs £2 per person, including skate hire. After you've had a skate and enjoyed a spot of shopping you can see a film at the town's new cinema, Cineworld. If the children deserve an extra special treat, take them to Didcot Railway Centre on December 8 and 9 or 14,15 and 16 where they can travel on a steam train pulled by Thomas the Tank Engine, receive a present from Santa in his grotto and see the Fat Controller in action!
