Enjoy a steamy weekend in Woodcote

The Woodcote Steam Rally returns for the 43rd time to provide a weekend of vintage and veteran transport and lots of family fun.

Woodcote is set to get very steamy on the 8th and 9th of July as the 43rd annual steam rally comes to town, bringing with it the largest collection of steam traction engines ever seen in South Oxfordshire.

Attracting thousands of visitors every year, the rally features hundreds of vintage, veteran and classic cars, motorbikes and tractors, all in working order.

This year, the highlight is set to be the impressive line up of 15 Sentinel Steam Wagons that join 30 steaming Leviathans and 25 miniature Brethrens in the Grand Parade of Steam.

Visitors to the rally can enjoy music, fireworks and activities for children. For those over 16 there's also the chance to drive a steam engine.

With the Campaign For Real Ale holding its Woodcote Festival of Ale at the rally, there are also 25 real ales, ciders and lagers to sample in addition to many other wining, dining and musical opportunities.

Opening at 10am on both days, the rally closes at 11pm on the Saturday and 6pm on the Sunday. Entrance costs £8.00 for adults, £4.00 for children aged 5-16, under 5's are free. Entrance for Senior Citizens is £4 and £22 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children.

Woodcote Rally is organised by the Woodcote Charitable Association and all proceeds are donated to local good causes with over £285,000 donated since the Rally's inception.
