South OxfordshireHenley on Thames, with its beautiful location on the river and annual regatta and festival of music, is a magnet for tourists. But South Oxfordshire District Council is keen to highlight the district’s many other attractions, such as the market towns of Thame and Wallingford and thriving Didcot. French Jones was handed the project of increasing awareness of these attractions and increasing the number of visitors to the area and the number of days they stay. Among the many initiatives being undertaken is the production of an easy-to use mini-guide to South Oxfordshire. It fits comfortably into a pocket or bag, but when unfolded is a mine of information. |
Not only is there a map of the district but detailed information on 32 of the area’s most popular visitor locations, such as Dorchester Abbey, Stonor Park, Waterperry gardens and Henley’s River and Rowing Museum. The full-colour guide is now being made available free of charge at the district’s visitor information locations, accommodation providers and attractions. It is also being distributed to hotels and other visitor sites within easy reach of South Oxfordshire. |
