To the rescue

French Jones has worked closely with our local community in the past, and  when Henley Visitor Information Centre was under threat of closure it became an urgent project for us.

Lack of funding put the centre in danger, but Henley Town council stepped in with a budget and asked French Jones to manage the centre on its behalf.

The council recognised that a physical location was needed so that people could continue to obtain information about Henley and the wider South Oxfordshire district.

French Jones decided that a website and new signage were the best forms of communicating the service. Existing signage was redesigned and new signs placed in highly visible areas around the town, whilst a website was created and visually linked to the centre's corporate identity.

French Jones knew that the centre needed to be more flexible with it's hours if it wanted a positive response from the public, so the opening times were increased to seven days a week in the summer. An access point was also fitted inside the centre to allow  visitors to obtain information online.

By producing an identity that explained the usefulness of the centre, and where it was located, French Jones has created a place where visitors and locals are visiting in ever-greater numbers to aquire information on events, festivals and places of interest.
