Castle Cement

Each year Castle Cement sells more than three million tonnes of cement, satisfying 25 per cent of the UK's need and providing employment for around 1,000 people. Most of these employees are based at three manufacturing centres, in Lancashire, Rutland and north Wales.

The company has a policy of being a good neighbour to the community in which it is located and all three locations support local projects, financially and with materials and labour.

It holds open days for local residents and distributes newsletters to every household in the locality as part of its drive to communicate effectively.

Now French Jones has just completed the task of compiling a different twelve-page works brochure for each of the three locations. These outline the site's history, illustrate how cement is made and demonstrate the company's successful drive to become more environmentally friendly in every aspect of its operations.
