Three councils have joined together to launch the campaign for clean air in Henley. Oxfordshire County Council, South Oxfordshire District Council and Henley Town Council are hoping to combat the effect of an expected 25 per cent increase in road traffic in Henley over the next twenty years.

Traffic congestion in the town is already leading to increased levels of air pollution, in particular of nitrogen dioxide. On Monday representatives of all three councils will launch the new web site, www.henleyairquality.com,  plus a poster, banner and advertising campaign to increase awareness of ways in which anyone can play a part in resolving the problem.
